Homeless Community

People in need

Recently I feel, I’ve been guided by the Holy Spirit! To do a lot along my personal journey. As well as being a helper at CAP Care Wakefield. I go out as many mornings as I can, speaking to some of the Homeless Community.

Drug addicts, Alcoholics, The Vulnerable & Abused People.

Some of whom through no fault of their own have ended up in horrendous situations. Others at first glance, seem to have brought it all on themselves, however as I get to know them, there’s always a story behind their life’s demise.

I’ve yet to find someone who wakes up one morning and say’s I want to be Homeless or a Junkie”.

I buy them a pasty or a sandwich and hot drink. Which is hard sometimes as I’m far from affluent. I sit down and talk with them for about 20 minutes or so, just giving them the time of day. Most of the time this is all they want!

Someone to recognize that they are there. Not looking down their nose at them, walking straight by, ignoring them as if they are invisible!

Too many people walk straight by them and look the other way.

Personally I find everyone seems to be in a big rush, continually to get nowhere important. In their own little bubble.

This is why I am committed, with more drive than I have ever had.

That is why I have created, the Fin Dalton’s Christian Outreach Programme Evangelist C.O.P.E.

I want to go out, giving my testimony to as many people as I can, in the hope that through God other lost soles can be saved!

That is why I volunteer at CAP Care Wakefield. Plus I go out as many mornings as I can, telling the homeless community about the miracles God can do!

If he can do it for me, he can do it for them too!

I tell them all if you have had enough of the life you are living, if you ask and mean it from the bottom of your heart.

Jesus will save you too!

what have you got to loose.

I understand that some individuals may feel intimidated to engage with this community; however, if you’re interested, consider treating someone vulnerable to a coffee.
